Finding Your Unique Strength

Have you ever considered what makes you, you? If you have ever questioned what makes you unique or what about you stands out from others, you are not alone in comparing yourself in a world of highly successful individuals. However, it is absolutely useless to compare yourself to anyone else, because there is only one perfectly created YOU. There is only one individual who walks in your shoes, and that individual is YOU.

I’ve doubted myself enough and compared my accomplishments and success to others enough to know it is not only a huge waste of time, but an unproductive and energy draining thing to do. My life journey is uniquely mine. When I decided to appreciate and take ownership of my life for a greater purpose, everything became clearer and made much more sense. My stress lessened, my doubts eased and my worries subsided. I felt more in control, more confident and more empowered to work harder and more passionately toward my goals.

I am who I am today, because of where I’ve been, what I have experienced, and what I have learned. My personal and professional success will come exactly at the time I am ready to accept it. For each of us this timing is different, because each of our journey’s are different.

Through my journey, I have a much better sense of who I am and what makes me unique. Also, I am blessed and fortunate to have a fabulous circle of support to lean on and learn from. Collaborating and brainstorming ideas with like-minded colleagues keeps me grounded and focused. My family and friends are always understanding and encouraging.

If you continue to struggle and wonder with what makes you unique, reach out to those who know you best. Ask them to share with you how they would describe you. What they feel makes you unique. And what they see differentiates you from the crowd. You may just learn something you completely dismissed or took for granted about yourself.
